Start of the School Day

The school day begins at 8:45am.

Children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 should arrive through their classroom door. The classroom doors will be open between 8:40am and 8:45am. Parents should stay with their children until the classroom doors open.

Children in Key Stage 2 should line up on the main playground with their classes. Parents are welcome to leave once their child has lined up with their class teacher present.

All children are expected to be in school by 8:45am and registers are taken at this time. The gate will be locked at 8:45am and children will be expected to sign in through the school office. You can help your child by making sure that they arrive at school punctually.  It is very difficult and unsettling for children who are regularly late and missing valuable lesson time. Children that do arrive late to school must enter through the main entrance. It is very important for safety reasons that you accompany them and report to the school office. Registers are taken electronically and a late book entry must be completed for every late child.

Morning Play

10:30am - 10:45am is the playtime for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

Lunchtime

11:45pm - 12:45pm is the lunchtime for EYFS.

12:00pm - 1:00pm is the lunchtime for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

End of the school day

At the end of the school day, children are collected from their classroom door. Children in Year 6 can make their own way home providing parents have given permission.

3:15pm is the end of the day for EYFS and Key Stage 1 classes.

3.20pm is the end of the day for Key Stage 2 classes.

We encourage children to walk or scoot to school but please note that, for safety reasons, electric scooters are not allowed onto the school grounds. We remind children not to ride their bicycles and scooters once they have come through the gates; again this is for safety reasons.

We also ask that great care be taken with parking, as the area outside the front entrance of the school can become very congested at the beginning and end of the school day. Please observe the road markings and please do not block the driveways of the houses close to school.

For safety reasons we ask that playground climbing frames are not used before or after school.

Your support in keeping our school safe is appreciated.
