This week we have been learning all about Road Safety, as we have participated in Road Safety Week 2021.  Our Active Travel Ambassadors planned and led excellent assemblies, teaching all of the pupils why it is important to wear bright and reflective clothes when we are walking.  The school then enjoyed a Be Bright Be Seen day where we could definitely all be seen in our bright clothes!

Cathy Scarrott from the Active and Safer Travel Team also led workshops for lots of our classes discussing the importance of road safety.  Reception, Nursery and Year 1 learned about how to cross the road safely with an adult, Year 3 learned about selecting safer places to cross, Year 5 learned about distractions and the importance of staying alert near the roads and Year 6 learned about Street Engineering.

Kenilworth pupils understand the importance of being safe - one of our core school rules.
